Are you having trouble receiving
email using Outlook Express on dial-upDoes the send/receive
process timeout or freeze on a certain message?
If you experience trouble, simply
follow these instructions:

Open your
Outlook Express
-
Left click
on Tools located at the top of your Outlook
Express Window
-
In the Tools
drop down menu, left click on Message Rules
-
Another menu
will open, click on Mail
-
In menu 1)
Select the Conditions for your rule: please
find Where the message size is more then size
(Requires you to scroll down in menu)
-
Left click
on the small empty box next to Where the message
size is more then size (this will place a check
mark in the box).
-
In menu 2)
Select the Auctions for your rule: please find
Delete it from server (Requires you to
scroll down menu)
-
Left click
on the small empty box next to Delete it from
server (this will place a check mark in the
box).

In menu 3)
Rule Description (click on an underlines value to
edit it) left click the size link
-
This will
bring up a new window. In the box located in this
window type 1000 (without quotation marks).

Left click
OK on this window
-
In menu 4)
Name of the rule: please type in Delete
Large Emails (without quotation marks).
-
Left click
on the button that says OK
-
A new window
will open. Please left click on the button that says
Apply Now
-
Another window
will open. Again left click on the button that says
Apply Now
-
Left click
on the button that says OK on the new
window
-
Then left
click on the button that says Close
-
Then left
click on the button that says OK
This process will cause all
messages that are 1MB in size to automatically be deleted
from the server preventing any messages from getting
stuck or caught up while downloading them.
